Chevy Blazer 2019 Colour Change:
When it comes to getting a complete colour change for a vehicle, there can be several reasons. The most typical reasons that encourage people to get a colour change for their vehicle include:
- The desired colour is not manufactured by the company.
- The original colour has started to look worn out.
- The manufacturer doesn’t produce your favourite colour with your desired finish.
- You want to get a colour that will make the decals pop.
No matter what the reason is, there are two ways you could get a colour change for your vehicle.
- Custom Paint Job
- A Vinyl Wrap
We’ve already discussed why a vehicle wrap beats getting a custom paint job.
Our recent client “The University of Waterloo” takes part in a competition every year. In the competition, participants are supposed to take a gas-powered car and convert it into a hybrid vehicle. Apart from that, add self-driving technology to the car. How cool is that? The competition is supposed to be a big deal. Chevrolet donates the university one of their vehicle every year to show off decals featuring the sponsors. Usually, the vehicle is white but this year Chevrolet donated a grey Chevy Blazer 2019.
Here’s what the competition is about:
EcoCAR 3: AN ADVANCED VEHICLE TECHNOLOGY COMPETITION, is a four-year collegiate student engineering competition and the only program of its kind. The competition challenges 16 universities across North America to reduce the environmental impact of vehicles without compromising real world performance or safety.
Established by the U.S. Department of Energy and General Motors, and managed by Argonne National Laboratory with support from Natural Resources Canada, EcoCAR 3 succeeds Ecocar 2: Plugging in to the Future and EcoCAR: The NeXt Challenge and features more than a dozen government and industry sponsors.
EcoCAR 3 builds on a proud 26-year history of DOE Advanced Vehicle Technology Competitions that exemplify the power of public/private partnerships in providing invaluable experience and training to promising university students readying to enter the job market.
UWAFT is one of only two Canadian universities competing in EcoCAR 3, making the competition even more of a unique and exciting experience!

The students were quick to realize that a grey Chevy Blazer 2019 would not be ideal to show off their sponsors’ decals. So, they contacted Vinyl Wrap Toronto for a complete colour change for the Chevy Blazer 2019.
For the colour change, they decided to go with Avery Dennison’s Gloss Pearl White (SW900-109). It was the ideal choice because the decals would certainly pop on the white background.
Our installers started to wrap the vehicle and since it was a time-sensitive job, we had to do it fast in order to finish on time. When we say fast, we do not compromise with the quality of the wrap. Even though we had some issues with the material, our experienced installers worked it around and delivered a breathtaking colour change job. Having been working in the industry, our installers are well aware of what could go wrong and how to make it work.
Since it was a sponsored job, we did not charge the University of Waterloo any installation fee.
We have attached pictures of the Chevy Blazer 2019 after a complete colour change for you to see how real it looks.
